Jorge Rivera (born September 25) is an American lawyer and television personality who lives in Miami, Florida. Rivera frequents national television on the Univision news network and shows such as Primer Impacto, which airs every Monday and Sabado Gigante which airs every Saturday. He is founder of the firm known as Immigration Group LLC.

Jorge Rivera was born in El Salvador and he and his family moved to the United States in March 1981 when he was 5 and a half years old. Rivera attended Florida Christian School in Miami. During high school Jorge competed in the American Association of Christian Schools National Academic & Fine Arts Competition and won first place in national debate in 1990 and 1991. Rivera completed high school in three years and applied to the University of Miami.
At the University of Miami, Rivera earned his Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance in two years and graduated Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA. During the summers, Rivera worked a legal intern in order to gain experience in the field and college credit. Jorge Rivera attended the University of Miami Law School after being granted the Minority Participation in Legal Education (MPLE) full scholarship in 1995. There he graduated in 1997 with Cum Laude honors and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1998.[1]
Jorge Rivera founded Immigration Group LLC in April 1998. The firm grew and relocated from 79th Street, in front of the old immigration building, to Coral Gables, Florida inside Miami-Dade County. In 2009, Immigration Group opened an office in Los Angeles, California as well as offices in Houston, Texas and Charlotte, North Carolina in 2010. In future, expansion of the firm will include offices in New York City, New York and Chicago, Illinois.
Jorge Rivera has offered pro bono legal advice to disadvantaged immigrants for over a decade via live events, television, radio, internet chats and blogs.[2][3] In one event in Los Angeles, California, Rivera spoke to over 20,000 people on the current issues in immigration in the United States.
Television
Jorge Rivera first appeared on television with the Spanish-language television network Univision in 2000 and has appeared on programs such as Sabado Gigante, Despierta America, and Primer Impacto.[4] Rivera also appeared on a local television every Wednesday to participate in segments on immigration on the news program “Al Amanecer”.
Radio
Jorge Rivera has been invited to speak on a regular basis on national Spanish-language news radio by radio personalities such as Eddie “Piolin” Sotelo, Doctora Isabel, and Julie Stav and on local radio stations such as WAMR-FM (Amor 107.5 FM.)
